Virus Removal

Viruses used to be merely a joke or a prank, but they have since evolved into serious threats, most of them now try to steal from you. Most viruses are completely hidden. They silently infect while trying to steal your passwords, credit card numbers, bank account information, and your identity.

Viruses, malware and spyware are the most common reasons that your computer will act strange or start operating slowly. You may be receiving annoying pop-ups or maybe your hard drive is constantly working. These are a couple of signs that your computer could be infected with spyware. We have the tools and know how to remove spyware, adware, malware, and viruses. and the anti-virus software to keep you safe in the future.

If your computer is infected
Mike’s advice: if your computer is infected with a virus, turn it off and seek professional service. Don’t try to fix it yourself because many viruses hide and also multiply. Virus removal is not an easy task, it is easy to miss something and still have an unsecured computer. Don’t put off virus removal and keep using it, a compromised computer puts you and others online at risk.

After virus removal
The very next thing we do is a tune-up, new antivirus, a security audit, and review of your backup strategy.

What else can you do? Stay patched. Keep your operating system and software up to date. Make sure your anti-virus is active and up to date. Be sure to sign up for our scheduled refresh tune-ups. Avoid opening attachments you weren’t expecting, or from people you don’t know well. Watch out for threats from infected web sites that show a pop up asking you to install a fake ‘Flash player’, ‘Video player’, or ‘Java update’ containing a Trojan downloader with actual malware viruses. Mike’s advice: “never click on a download offer for anything that pops up on any web site. Not even a trusted site like Facebook. If you see one, it is best to just close the web browser.” Protect your important files: make regular backups, and store them somewhere safe, preferably offline.
